Bright Lips Makeup Look !

Hey guys!
During summer, one of the makeup look i totally adore is - Bright lips ! All the way.
At the beginning i thought it was really hard to pull this look off and i didn't feel really confident enough to wear really bright color, but i found it soo pretty that i pushed myself into trying it and now i love that look!

So here's usually how i wear my bright lips makeup !
I think the most important thing is to take the time to make your skin flawless, otherwise the bright color will only point out the redness and pimples.

FACE

Lately I've been loving the Bourjois healthy mix serum as my fondation. I've heard the awesome Essie Button talk about it in a few of her favorite videos and I decided to give it a try and it has become my go-to not too heavy fondation. For redness and imperfection i use my Match Perfection by Rimmel, and my Mac Pro lasting concealer for my awful under eye cercles.

Then using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent, i set my makeup on, especially around my eyes and on my T zone which tends to be very oily through out the day.

For my cheeks, i use one of my favorite at the moment: the 'Cherry me' shade from the baby lips collection from Maybelline.

EYES

For the eyes, i wanted to go for a neutral tone eye makeup for the eye shadow, to make the eye liner and mascara pop out.

I start putting my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded (really similar to Bare study by Mac, but in very less expensive!) all over my lids, and then adding the Color tattoo Bad to the bronze to the crease before blending, blending, blending.

For the eye liner, I use my Bourjois liner in black. I'm not yet quite sure how i feel about this product. I really like how it looks when i put it one and how it applies, but i find that it fade away quite quickly. What do you guys think about this Liner ?
I went for my favorite combinaison of mascaras, couple of coats of the L'Oréal Flutter False lashes, and the Maybelline The Falsies that curls my lashes like crrrazy !

LIPS

Finally the fun part of the look :)
Since I've got a bit of a tan thanks to the beautiful sun we had for a few days here in Vancouver, I like me some bright red lipstick !

I've been absolutely loving this lipstick from the Vivid collection by Maybelline in the shade 'Vibrant Mandarin'. I think it's the perfect bright redish-orange color and it goes so well on tan skin. It applies very smoothly and easily and it stays quite a long time on the lips. You may need to define the edges with a lip brush.
And of course, you want to spray your face with the Urban Decay makeup setting spray, so your makeup last longer!

And here's the final look !
Tell me what's your favorite lipstick for a bright lips makeup look, i'd love to know :)

Thanks for reading !
Hope you're all having an amazing day,
Xoxo

What's On My Face Today - Natural Look

I've seen this kind of posts in Lily Pebbles' blog and i love reading it so i thought i'd give it a try!
So here's my first What's on my face !
Today I wanted to keep my makeup very simple and natural. This is the kind of makeup i go for when i'm just going out with my friends or going shopping; when i want nothing fancy but I still want to look put together.

I'm not using fondation on days like this, i prefer to use my concealer on spots and redness that i may have. Today i used my Match Perfection concealer by Rimmel and for my -really bad- eye under cercles, i went for my Mac Pro Lasting concealer, which is my go-to concealer.
Before applying the Color Wheel Bronzer by NYC, I set everything with the stay matte powder by Rimmel in transparent. Since my skin tends to get really oily during the day, this powder is a definitely must have for me.
Then on to the eyes ! I used Mac paint pot in Bare Study all over my eyelids and i defined the crease and my under eye line with my absolute favorite eye shadow by Mac: Satin Taupe. What's your favorite eyeshadow by Mac ?

Then on to the mascara ! I try not to curl my lashes as much as i can because i feel that it really dammages them. I used two mascaras, which is the combinaison i use pretty much everyday. Mascaras tend to smudge really easily on me and for now i'm happy with those two ones. I start with a coat of the L'Oréal Flutter mascara which separates and lengthens my lashes and after that i add one or two coats of the Maybelline The Falsies, depending on how dramatic i want my eyes to look. This one makes my lashes look fuller and curl them almost like a eyelash curler.
Lately i've been really linking using the Maybelline Babylips as blushers. I reckon it gives the most pretty natural color. Today i used the peachy color and applied it on the apple of my cheeks.
The last touch -and my favorite one!- : Lipstick ! I wanted to add a bit of color to the look without being too crazy. I went for the most pretty color, very flattering on all skin tones i think: Plumful by Mac. It looks quite bright on the picture but it's actually pretty natural.

Once that's done, I spray my face with the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray, to keep my makeup in place all day long!
And that's it, here's my face today :

Drugstore Lipstick Haul !

Hey guys !
My first post is going to be a Haul !
I've been living in Vancouver for a couple of months now and i had the chance to buy a few pieces that I really wanted to buy for a long time and that we don't have in Paris.
I'm really excited to share with you these lipsticks that i've been loving.

The first one is a Rimmel lipstick from the Kate Moss serie and it's the shade 103.
I'd say it's a nude pinky color. I've been liking it on a daily basis, it's very natural and stays on the lips pretty well. The only thing i'm not crazy about is the smell - it has a strong smell of soap, in a weird way.
But over all, i'm pretty satisfied with this one !

Being crazy about makeup, i've heard sooo much about the Revlon Lip butters. Unfortunately, we don't have those in Paris. When i finally got the chance to buy some, I was literrally dancing out of joy.
I got two, the first one is the shade 050 'Berry Smoothie' and i absolutely love it. The consistency is really creamy and it aplies very well on the lips. However, it is pretty glossy so if you like more a mat finish, maybe this one is not the best for you.

The second one i brought is one of the most popular i think.
It's the shade 015 'Tutti Frutti' which is a perfect orange color. It's more mat than the other. The good thing with that one is that you can really build it up. The finish can be quite sheer, or more 'in your face', if you add a few cots.

Then i went to the Maybelline section and ho my !
The first thing i got was one of the Vivid Lipstick. It's the shade 885 'Vibrant Mandarin'. I'm not really used to putting such bright color on my lips, but this one is so gorgeous that i couldn't resist. It's definitely a 'In your face' color! It's a redish orange. I think it looks amazing on tan skin. You can still build it up, and if you don't want such a bright color, you can always just pad the lipstick on your lips with your fingers.

The second one i got from the Vivid collection is 'Shocking Coral' which is -as the name says-, a pretty coral color. I think more like a pinky coral than a orange coral. This one is also very bright. I'm not sure yet, but i may like this one better, because i think it may suit my skin tone the best. Both consistency is creamy and it aplies well. This only thing is that since it's very bright colors, you kinda have to reaply it quite often because it tends to fade away after a few hours. I would recommend those two color if you're looking for bright fun lipstick not too expensive for the summer !

The last Maybelline lipstick i brought is from the 'Whisper' collection in the shade 'Berry ready'.
It's a gorgeous plum color quite bright actually. It's definitely not a sheer finish. I just feel that it brings out the flaws of my face (redness...) more than other lipsticks. But if your skin is naturally flawless, this may be the perfect one for you !

The last lipstick from my Haul is a L'Oréal one.
It's from the Caresse collection in the shade 301 'Dating Coral'.
It is quite similar to the Tutti frutti lip butter but i would say that this one is a bit more sheer and less glossy. I reckon it's an awesome everyday color, especially for the summer.

Have you guys tried one of these lipsticks ? If so i'd love to hear what you think of it :)
I hope you're all having a fantastic day and i'll see you later with another post !
